About the shop

SEPTEMBER is a small brick-and-mortar clothing shop in Portland, Maine. Our project is to offer stylish, comfortable, and well-made clothing for all seasons, welcoming anyone who appreciates thoughtful, enduring design. We curate seasonal selections featuring compelling, wearable pieces crafted from natural materials such as wool, poplin, silk, linen, and denim.

Our shop builds on the legacy of its beloved predecessor, Corey & Co., a long-standing boutique and atelier founded by Barbara Corey. Barbara continues to design and produce original garments, which can still be found at 19 Pleasant Street.
